The Missing and the Dead - Stuart MacBride

Was not impressed by this one.  In fact, if this had been the first book in the series, I would never have read any of the others.  As it is, I don't know that I'll continue reading it going forward.

Most of the book was moan moan moan about how terrible being a cop is.  Just total misery porn.  Got really old after awhile.  The plot itself meandered like a drunk walking a straight line.  It lacked focus; the book could've been about half as long if it stayed on track.

The ending is what killed it for me.  Just utterly ridiculous. I would've thrown my books against the wall, but I would never endanger my beloved Kindle so I'll have to settle for venting my displeasure on book rating sites.
