Review
The author, Eileen Goudge, has apparently written other books but this is her first mystery. I would never have guessed that. I've read books by "accomplished" mystery authors that couldn't write a plot as good as this book. Lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end, with a lot of action, a little romance and lots of humor. . The MC, Tish, is a likeable heroine. A recovering alcoholic with a chip on her shoulder, she uses humor as a defense mechanism. And that's what I liked about her; she has the balls to squeeze off a joke, even when she knows she shouldn't. I myself struggle with this daily.
Very enjoyable and I can see avenues branching off to become plot lines into future stories and I can't wait to read more.
